Our Privacy Policy is designed to assist you in understanding how we collect and use the personal data you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our site, app, and services. The practices described in this Privacy Policy do not cover the creation and use of business-to-business accounts, which are governed by separate contract.
What Type of Personal Data Do We Collect?

How Do We Collect and Use Personal Data?
We collect personal data from you or about you in a variety of ways, which may include: directly from you and your device; from manufacturers, designers, contractors and other tradespeople, friends or family; from advertising networks, internet service providers, data analytics providers, operating systems, social networks, data brokers and promotion vendors or sponsors; from online, in-store or on premise technologies and other technologies; from government entities, law enforcement and regulators, and other external third-party sources.
Information collected automatically: We may collect technical information when you use the site, app or services. This may include information such as Internet Protocol (IP) address, the type of mobile device you use, your device operating system and browser type, unique identifiers, the address of referring websites, the path you take through our sites, and other information about your visit to our sites including through Cookies and Other Technologies as described below.
Information We Collect Through On Premise Technology: We may collect your personal data from technology used in stores such as Wi-Fi, and we may operate cameras on our premises for security and operational purposes, for example, to help prevent fraud and to improve the design of our stores to better serve our customers.
How Personal Data Is Used
We use your personal data to provide you products and services to personalize our site, app and services and advertise to you, , and to prevent or detect fraud. Some examples may include:
- Providing services and support: To provide and operate our services, fulfill your order or requests for services and provide customer service, create and maintain your account, communicate with you about your use of the services, provide troubleshooting and technical support, debug to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality, process your payments, to correct or supplement our records, and for similar service and support purposes.
- Make payments and purchases: When you make an in-store or online purchase, return, or other transactions, we collect information in order to process and fulfil the transaction such as applicable shipping and billing address and our payment processor will collect your payment card information. We also maintain records about your past purchases, as well as items that you view or add to your cart.
- Register for an account: When you sign up or login to your account, schedule an appointment or create a wish list, we collect certain personal data from you, such as your contact information as well as any personal data you post to your profile or account.
- Communicate and interact with us: When you email, call, or otherwise communicate with us and with members of our team, we collect and maintain a record of your contact details, communications and our responses.
- Analytics and improvement: To better understand how users’ access and use the services and our other products and offerings, conduct auditing and monitoring of transactions and engagement, and for other research and analytical purposes, such as to evaluate and improve our services and business operations, develop services and features, and for internal quality control and training purposes
- Marketing and advertising: For marketing and advertising purposes. For example, to send you information about our services, such as offers, promotions, newsletters and other marketing content, including about third-party products and services we think may interest you, as well as any other information that you sign up to receive. We also may use certain personal data we collect to manage, measure and improve our advertising campaigns so that we can better reach people with relevant content.
- Planning and managing events: We also collect personal data related to your participation in our training or other events. For example, if you register for or attend an event that we host or sponsor, we manage registration, attendance, connect event attendees, and contact attendees about relevant events and services. When you fill out a 'Contact Us' form, signup for our mailing lists, or otherwise request information from us, we collect and maintain records of your requests.
- Participate in promotions: If you participate in a promotion or sweepstakes, we and/or a co-sponsor will collect the personal data that you submit. We may offer promotions in connection with other entities, and, in some cases, promotions will be governed by different privacy notices. Some states require information of winners to be posted.
- Research and surveys: To administer surveys and questionnaires, such as for market research or customer satisfaction purposes.
- Safety, quality and improvement: To undertake activities to verify or maintain quality or safety and improve, upgrade, or enhance the site, app or services.
- Security and protection of rights: To protect us, you and others, the site, app and services and our business operations; to help ensure security and integrity and prevent and detect fraud, unauthorized activities and access, and other misuse; to collect amounts owed; where we believe necessary to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety or legal rights of any person or party, or violations of our terms, warranty or return policies or this Privacy Policy.

- Other purposes: For other lawful purposes that you reasonably expect, are permitted under applicable law and regulation or that we may notify you of from time to time.
We may use deidentified or aggregated data, which does not directly identify you for any purpose as permitted by applicable law.
How Do We Share Your Personal Data?
We may share your personal data in the following circumstances with or for:
- Service Providers: We engage service providers to perform services in connection with the operation of our business, such as cloud hosting or IT service providers.
- Affiliates: We may transfer personal data to related companies, including future subsidiaries, affiliates or parent companies.
- Third Parties for Business Purposes: We may share personal data with third parties including manufacturers, contractors, delivery services, tradespeople, designers, regulators, government entities and law enforcement, and others as permitted by law to provide our site, apps, products and services, as you direct and/or for operational or related purposes such as training, events, design, warranties or recalls.

Cookies and Other Technologies
Like many companies, we collect and store certain personal data automatically whenever you interact with our services. For example, we may collect your IP address, browser and device information, including operating system, application software, and reference site domain name when you access or use the site, app or services. We and third parties also use personal data to derive information regarding customer traffic patterns and usage and usage data. We may use this information in combination with other information we have about you, including personal data.

This personal data is used to manage advertising effectiveness and provide you with online advertisements, including advertisements on unaffiliated websites and platforms, more likely to be of interest to you. Analytics: Cookies and other technologies are also used to implement analytics tools, including, but not limited to, Google Analytics, that indicate how the app, site, and services are performing, how you engage with them, and how you interact with our advertisements and communications. The information collected using Google Analytics may be shared with Google and is used according to their privacy policy. You can opt-out of having your site activity available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (gtag.js, analytics.js) that is running on websites from sharing information with Google Analytics about visit activity.
Social Networks and Platforms: When you post digital content via social media interactions on third-party websites like Facebook, Houzz, Pinterest, YouTube or LinkedIn, that data may be collected by us in connection with the services. Please be advised that user-generated content and other information you post or share with these platforms and networks, and any information gathered by the platforms and networks, will be governed by the privacy policy and terms of use of the applicable platform or network and not by this Privacy Policy. We may also collect personal data about you from social media platforms and networks if you post content publicly or to our social media account.
Social Network Widgets: Our site, app and services may include social media features, such as Facebook, Houzz, Pinterest, Instagram or LinkedIn widgets. These features may collect electronic and other internet activity information, such as your IP address and which page you are visiting. These widgets may set a cookie or utilize other tracking technologies to accomplish this. Social media features and widgets are hosted by a third party, and your interactions with those features are governed by the privacy policies of the companies that provide them.

Children and Minors
The site, app and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors or children. Please contact us if there are any concerns.
Security
We use various security measures designed to protect personal data that we collect. However, we cannot guarantee that your personal data will be secure from disclosure or misuse, either by accident or by unauthorized access or use.
In order to help protect your personal data, you should use a different account username and password for each site and keep that information secure and not share them with others. If we request that you re-set your username and/or password, please do so promptly. We will never ask you to share your password through an email, text or phone call.
